Just by way of a change, nine of us met up at the Swan Pool on Saturday 28th March to drive down to Aylesbury’s parkrun. (Pictured from left to right are: Heidi, Anke, Hayley, Chris, Linda, Ian, Steve, Julie and Dan).
For many, it was their first different parkrun, so everyone (except me) got a PB – simply because times are pertinent to specific courses – and were credited as First Timers! But most importantly, we all got another parkrun under our belts – one less to go for the much-prized 50 T-shirt. On that note, Linda has now reached 49 and hopes to run her 50th at this Saturday’s Buckingham parkrun, so we’ll all be out in force to cheer her on.
Meanwhile Jonathan continues to rack up the points as he heads the male league table at Buckingham – only 6 more parkruns, Jon, before the title is yours and we start all over again! Then maybe you’ll join us on another parkrun tourist outing? Where will that be? Julie’s sorting that one out, but Banbury seems a good bet, as none of us have run that course.
Many thanks to the volunteers at Aylesbury parkrun, your efforts are appreciated as always. And thanks to our drivers, Julie and Ian.
