Quiz night made a profit of £756.
Stowe Track dates have been booked for the Summer, but only available time slots are from 7.30 to 8.30 pm. It seems Bucks and MK Sports have booked the earlier time for ALL days and months. Chris has contacted them, but they are unaware of doing so! We shall continue to liaise with Stowe in the hope of getting an earlier time slot. We will consider booking some Sunday morning sessions at a later date.
Steve gave an update on Food bank collections which are going well.
Possible guest speakers/topics for next Spring were discussed. Steve Edwards could be invited to speak on running marathons. He can only do Saturday or Sunday mornings, so we need to gauge interest before booking.
Yellow shirts with long sleeves have been sourced by Alex and a sample has been ordered. (Now arrived and good quality, so we have ordered some).
Arrangements for the Christmas Dinner and the London Marathon and Buckingham Half Marathon ballots were finalised.
Arrangements for the AGM and Awards Evening were discussed. The cricket clubhouse has been booked. Laura will co-ordinate the selection of Championship races for 2018. Members to be asked to nominate people for Members’ Member of the Year; Male & Female Runners of the Year; Best Performances by a Male & Female Runner of the Year.
Progress on the club’s developmental objectives for 2017 was discussed and possible objectives for 2018 proposed for verification at the AGM.
Tuesday evenings are to be open to all from January, but the focus will be on the 9/10 minute milers. Jane S will continue to meet beginners/11+ minute milers at the Swan Pool.
Possible destinations for next year’s club trip were discussed. Alex suggested Edinburgh or Eindhoven. A decision will be made at the AGM.
Current club membership is now at its highest ever at 150.
Next meeting set for Wednesday 7th February 2018
