Much discussion centred on offering a choice of activity on nights where fitness sessions such as hill work and intervals were scheduled in the hope of attracting more members along..
Tuesday’s beginners’ and improvers’ nights are very popular and many runners are now neither beginners nor improvers which creates problems of organisation and may even deter true beginners. It was agreed that this group should meet at Tesco and only true beginners and people returning to running should meet at the leisure centre. The definition of a beginner/returner being that they run at 11 minute miles or slower. This arrangement to start at the beginning of November.
AGM to be held at the cricket club on Friday 12th January 2018.
Alex reported that the fee to join the Chiltern cross-country league had risen to £200, but as the club’s finances were in a healthy state, this cost would be absorbed by the club and participants would not be asked to make a contribution.
Steve will organise donations to the Food Bank in the next couple of months.
20 more purple shirts have been ordered. A new vest order incorporating the updated Rainscourt logo has been placed. Alex is to investigate the possible purchase of yellow long-sleeved shirts.
