Where you were born? Mountsorrel in Leicestershire

Do you have any children? Two girls. The big one and a little one as they are called. Or idiot one and idiot two if I am feeling less generous.

How long have you been a member of the club? September 2012

Why do you enjoy running? Enjoy is a strong word. I go running, I am hoping to be slim and beautiful from the process but it’s not working at the moment. I like to run, chat and make new friends.

What have been your running highs and lows? Under 30 minutes for a park run… is a high point Low points… running up hills or slight inclines.

Name a piece of running kit you can’t live without? Sports bra… Don’t feel dressed for running without it.

What is your biggest running achievement? First 10k I did before I joined the running club running for race for life and raising over £650 for my chosen charity

What do you hope to achieve this year? Being able to run over ten miles.

Do you listen to music when you run, if so what do you like? Tried it once – slowed down too much to listen to the tunes.

What is your post run treat? Shower PJ’s and a glass of wine

Any other hobbies or interests? Skiing, gardening (in particular lawn mowing) travel, mountain walking, water-skiing, cycling

Do you have an interesting fact about yourself? I was part of a crowd in the film International Velvet when I was 11 and was paid £5 for the day.

Name: Ian McPartlan

Age: 46

Occupation: Management Consultant (Business Travel Procurement)

Where you were born? Shrewsbury

Do you have any children? 2

How long have you been a member of the club? 15 months.

Why do you enjoy running? For fitness, fresh air and calorie credits.

What have been your running highs and lows? Highs include finishing 3 marathons, which I thought was an achievement. Until I joined this club. No lows.

Name a piece of running kit you can’t live without? B&S running top, of course.

What is your biggest running achievement? 3.30 marathon.

What do you hope to achieve this year? PB’s at 5k, 10k, 10 mile and half marathon.

Do you listen to music when you run, if so what do you like? No, but if I did it would be Bruce Springsteen, Iron Maiden, Mark Knopfler or Teenage Fanclub.

What is your post run treat? Beer, food, more beer!

Any other hobbies or interests? Man United FC, bit of cycling, guitar playing, sad & obsessive collector of airline and hotel loyalty points.

Do you have an interesting fact about yourself? Can speak a bit of Japanese, and even more after a glass or two of sake.
